Dr. Teilissa Tua, Physical Therapist
Neurorehabilitation is about far more than restoring movement. It is about helping people regain independence, build confidence, and return to the activities that make life meaningful. Teilissa brings this philosophy to her practice with a compassionate, individualized approach and a strong belief in meeting each person where they are.
Born and raised in Hawaii, Teilissa brings a grounded, community-first perspective to patient care. She earned her Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from Touro University Nevada and spent the first three years of her career as a traveling physical therapist. Working in different communities and clinical environments gave her the opportunity to care for people with a wide variety of diagnoses, abilities, and goals while developing an adaptable and thoughtful approach to rehabilitation.
After several years of traveling, Teilissa chose to put down roots in the Pacific Northwest and is excited to bring her experience and passion for movement to the NeuroRx community. She especially values building meaningful relationships with her patients and helping them recognize what they are capable of as they work toward greater strength, mobility, and independence.
Outside the clinic, Teilissa loves spending time and making memories with her family, traveling, and staying connected to athletics. Volleyball continues to be an important part of her life, and she enjoys training volleyball athletes to improve performance, develop strength and movement skills, and reduce their risk of injury.
